Option 3: B.A. in Applied Psychology and M.A.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling

The B.A./M.A.Ed. Accelerated Program in Psychology and Counseling prepares students who have the vocational desire to become counselors. Students in such a combined degree program will complete undergraduate coursework within the undergraduate Psychology Program and four (3-credit hour) courses within the Master’s level Counseling Program. This integration of coursework provides the opportunity for students to: a) complete their undergraduate bachelor’s degree, b) begin the master’s degree, and c) complete the graduate program in a shortened timespan. Completion of the graduate program degree will lead to eligibility for licensure as either a Licensed Professional Counselor (Clinical Mental Health) or Licensed Professional School Counselor.

Emphasis in Chemical Dependency courses (15 credit hours):
