BIOL 2XX - Introduction to Beekeeping

This course offers an introduction to the principles and practices of beekeeping. Through discussions and hands-on activities, students will explore honey bee biology, colony behavior, and hive management. Students will learn how to use beekeeping equipment, manage pests, process honey, and understand the critical role of bees as pollinators. The course also examines the threats bees face from pesticides, habitat loss, and other environmental challenges.
