CORE 200 - Vocation and Career Seminar (1) An exploration of how to apply Christian theologies of vocation and calling. Students will explore multiple perspectives on what it means to live a life of meaning, purpose and hope. They will also engage in guided exercises and reflective practices, to assess their skills, interests, and passions and gain deeper self-awareness in order to identify their potential vocational purposes. The course will examine the role of Christian faith and various cultural and spiritual belief systems that shape career decisions and ethics in work. Students will begin to develop actionable plans for pursuing their vocations in their careers, including goal-setting, networking, and crafting effective resumes and cover letters, while also considering the potential impact of their work on society and community.
Prerequisite(s): CORE 100 or transfer status.
