SWK 2XX - Human Behavior and the Social Environment (3) This course examines the complex interplay between individuals and their environment through the lens of different social science theories about human growth and development. Focusing on the dignity and worth of all people, the course examines how social, cultural, and economic systems influence behavior and well-being. Students will engage in critical analysis of various contexts, including family dynamics, community structures, and institutional policies, while emphasizing the importance of service and advocacy in promoting Biblical social justice. Using interdisciplinary frameworks, case studies, and collaborative projects, participants will develop the skills necessary to understand and address the multifaceted challenges facing diverse populations.
