NURS 203 - Health-Focused Cultural Application

This course provides the student an opportunity to observe health-related activities in a culture which is outside their own life experience. During this course, students will begin to understand, develop relationships with, and observe health-related activities within cultures different from their own. Students will demonstrate a commitment to service and health promotion within the selected cultures. Each student will spend time within a culture outside the United States or within subcultures in the United States.

Pre/Co-requisite: NURS 202 .

Offered each semester.
The NURS 202/203 sequence is available to nursing and non-nursing majors as an option for meeting the Global Encounters component of the General Education Program.
