This major prepares students to be licensed to teach life sciences. Upon completing this program (39 hours of Professional Education, Literacy, and Methods requirements and other requirements for the Bachelor of Arts degree) and the required state licensure examinations, students may apply for a state license to teach life science in grades 7-12.
