All biology majors take the following core courses:

Allied Health Track
The Allied Health Track courses include the above Biology core courses, supporting core courses, and the following. This track is designed for students who would like to pursue further studies in allied health professions such as pharmacy, physical therapy, physician’s assistant, etc. A student who graduates with the Biology-Allied Health major may, as a post-graduate student, elect to apply to a hospital-based medical technology program and receive an additional 30 credit hours of instruction, thereby becoming eligible to take national certification examinations such as those offered by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists Board of Registry (ASCP) and the National Certification Agency for Medical Laboratory Personnel (NCA). Additional Information
This track prepares students to be licensed to teach life sciences. Upon completing this program, 38 hours of Professional Education requirements (the following courses), and other requirements for the Bachelor of Arts degree, students will be licensed to teach life science in grades 7-12.
