MSNC 630 - Practicum I(2) This practicum course introduces advanced critical thinking, skills, procedures, and diagnostic reasoning needed by the clinical nurse specialist. Includes family theory and assessment, models of health, community assessment, and epidemiology with a focus on health promotion and disease prevention. Practicum hours provide opportunity for advanced practice in clinical management of a selected adult client population having acute and chronic health conditions. Settings and populations are chosen according to student specialty selection. In class sessions = 0.5 credit hour; clinical assignments = 1.5 credit hours (120 clock hours). CNS students. Year Two-Fall Semester.
