ART 411 - Modern Art (3)
This course covers the development of modern art from the 1870s through the 1940s. Topics covered include the many art movements of the period such as Impressionism and Realism, Post-Impressionism, Expressionism, Cubism, Surrealism, Abstract Expressionism, and modern architecture. In addition, the art produced will be discussed as it relates to the major social, political, intellectual, and cultural changes of the period.
Offered Spring 2017 and alternate Spring semesters.
