HIST 324 - Medieval Europe (w)(3) A study of the emergence of Europe, the Byzantine Empire, the Islamic Caliphate after the Fall of the Roman Empire in the West. Political, social, economic, and cultural developments are examined. Special attention is given to Christianity in the Middle Ages, including religious thought, practices, and the development of monasticism and the papacy.
Prerequisite(s): HIST 111 or 112.
Offered Fall 2014 and alternate Fall semesters.
