Additional courses may be necessary to fulfill admission requirements of certain physical therapy programs. This concentration is suggested for students interested in sports medicine, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and other allied health fields. The Exercise Physiology Concentration will prepare students for a variety of graduate programs in biomechanics, exercise physiology, motor control, and sports medicine. The Fitness Promotions and Personal Training Concentration is specifically designed for students wishing to enter the personal training profession working as exercise practitioners. All three concentrations provide students with the theoretical and practical training skills necessary to prepare them to sit for the Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) certificate exam from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).
