A major in Integrated Language Arts is designed to prepare individuals for teaching learners in grades seven through twelve in English and in such subject areas as Speech, Journalism, and Communications.
The Integrated Language Arts major consists of 79 hours including 15 hours of Language and Writing, 12 hours of Literary Traditions, 4 hours of Living Connections, 9 hours of ancillary courses, and 39 hours of Professional Education, Literacy, and Methods.
