The Ministry major with concentration in Missions and Cross-Cultural Ministries (55 hours) is designed to provide an understanding of the Bible, Christian theology, and the history and practice of cross-cultural ministry. It endeavors to combine faith, theory, and practical experience by providing internship/practicum opportunities that can begin in the sophomore year and continue for up to three years. This major is excellent preparation for students who desire to follow God’s call to missionary service or to pastoral leadership in a cross-cultural ministry context.

The Ministry major with concentration in Pastoral Ministry (54 hours) is designed to provide an understanding of the Bible, Christian theology, and the practice of pastoral ministry in today’s world. It endeavors to combine faith, theory, and practical experience by providing internship/practicum opportunities that can begin in the sophomore year and continue for up to three years. This major is excellent preparation for students who desire to follow God’s call to pastoral leadership in a variety of possible ministry contexts, or to prepare for graduate studies in ministry of any kind.

The Ministry major with concentration in Youth/Educational Ministries (56 hours) is designed to provide students with a broad preparation for the varieties of ways the gospel of Christ is presented in today’s society. The particular focus of this major is to prepare students for innovative ministries with a specific focus on adolescents and young adults and also to oversee all educational ministries of a local church. It endeavors to combine faith, theory, and practical experience by providing local internship/practicum opportunities that can begin in the sophomore year and continue for up to three years. This major allows students to enter a church or ministry position immediately upon graduation.

All Ministry majors, regardless of concentration must take the Department of Bible, Theology, and Ministry Core courses (37 hours).
