The Graduate Certificate in Trauma Counseling was designed to provide individuals with advanced education in trauma counseling. Those eligible to participate in this program are individuals who have earned a graduate degree (Master’s-level or Doctoral-level) in Counseling or a related discipline or are currently enrolled in a graduate degree program in Counseling or a related discipline (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Counseling, Addictions Counseling, or Nursing). This graduate certificate includes coursework in foundational trauma counseling concepts, theories, principles, core competencies, and clinical skills related to assessment, diagnosis, and treatment approaches.
