Psychology Minor

The psychology minor is designed for students who wish to augment their major fields of study with a selection of psychology courses.

Students pursuing a minor in psychology are required to complete at least 15 hours of coursework which must include:
Remaining 6 hours:
The remaining 6 hours may be any other psychology offerings with the exception of courses in the Chemical Dependency Counseling minor which may not be used simultaneously to complete a Psychology minor. If a student is pursuing both of the Psychology and CDC minors, then the 6 credits of upper-level courses in the Psychology minor must be different from those in the CDC minor. Students should also be aware of the general requirements for minors as detailed on Majors and Minors .
Liberal Arts majors
Liberal Arts majors who elect psychology as one of their cognates must take the following courses. A cognate in psychology requires at least 12 hours of upper-level coursework (see Majors and Minors for policies governing the Liberal Arts major). |
