The School Counseling program provides preparation for individuals who desire to be school counselors. Completion of the Master’s degree and the specialty examination (OAE 040) in school counseling are required by the Ohio Department of Education for school counseling licensure. The degree program consists of 27 semester hours of Foundational Core courses, 12 hours in the School Counseling Core, and 9 semester hours in Clinical Experience.
