(Bachelor of Science in Education)
This program leads to the Bachelor of Science in Education degree and the Ohio Provisional License in Middle Childhood Education, valid for teaching in grades four through nine in the curriculum areas named on the license. This program includes preparation in at least two of the following concentration areas: Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Reading/Language Arts. Each concentration area includes a minimum of 21 semester hours of course work. Requirements for each concentration area are listed in the Middle Childhood Education program guide available in the Department of Education Office.

Middle Childhood Education Provisional Licensure (Grades 4-9)
The major consists of course requirements in professional education (41 hrs.), and the middle childhood core which includes 9 hrs. in middle childhood education and a minimum of two concentration areas. Professional Education Course Requirements:

Note(s):
EDUC 252, 318, 357, and 425 from the Professional Education requirements are also required for the Reading and Language Arts Concentration. |
