The Teacher Leader Endorsement^§ is designed to prepare successful teachers to take on the role of teacher leaders able to coach, mentor, and support individuals new to the teaching profession. Additionally, teacher leaders will assist principals in developing and implementing a clear vision of learning, developing educational goals, and providing staff development. The program consists of three courses and two full semester internships (total = 12 hours). A Praxis II examination is required for the endorsement. The program is a cognate area in the M.A.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction. For those who already have a masters degree in education, the endorsement can be earned by taking the endorsement only courses (listed below).
