MSW 647 - Advanced Intercultural Practice (3) This course explores the relationships between culture, social structures, and social and economic development within diverse communities worldwide. The class explores case studies that highlight the influence of cultural values, social norms, and global economic and social trends on community development initiatives. Students will write a capstone project that relates to an area of intercultural social work that they can see themselves working within. This course focuses on an anti-oppressive social justice framework toward an ethical application of advanced practice skills for international and intercultural development work that respects local traditions and promotes equity.
Prerequisite(s): Advanced Standing.
