MSW 662 - Advanced Therapeutic Methodologies in Clinical Social Work

This course is an in-depth exploration of contemporary therapeutic techniques and frameworks utilized in clinical settings to cover a variety of modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, trauma-informed care, and narrative therapy. Through a combination of lectures, case studies, discussions, and role plays, students will gain hands-on experience and develop advanced skills in assessment, intervention, and evaluation. Emphasizing cultural competence and ethical practice, the course aims to equip students with the knowledge and strategies necessary to effectively address diverse client needs and complex social issues in their future practice.

Prerequisite(s): Advanced Standing.
