MSW 627 - Differential Diagnosis and Psychopharmacology

This course offers an in-depth exploration of mental health disorders and their pharmacological treatments. Students will examine the diagnostic criteria, etiology, and social implications of various psychopathological conditions, alongside the mechanisms, efficacy, and ethical considerations of psychotropic medications. Emphasizing a biopsychosocial approach, the course incorporates case studies, current research, and clinical practices to prepare students for effective assessment and intervention. Students will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals and advocate for comprehensive care strategies within diverse populations.
