MSW 671 - Advanced Social Science Research Methods (3) This course offers an in-depth exploration of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies essential for analyzing social work practice and its impact on clients and communities. Students will critically engage with contemporary research techniques, including mixed-methods approaches and advanced statistical analyses. Emphasis will be placed on ethical considerations and cultural sensitivities inherent in social research to promote anti-oppressive practice. By the end of the course, students will have acquired the skills to design and conduct comprehensive research projects, evaluate existing studies, and effectively communicate research findings to inform social work practice. Practical assignments will foster collaboration and application of theory to practice, culminating in a research project that is relevant to social work practice.
