BIBL 372 - Introduction to the Hebrew and Greek Bibles (3) This course introduces the student to the textual tradition and history of transmission of both testaments in their original and other languages. It will include a study of Hebrew and Greek bibles of the past, currently published Hebrew and Greek bibles, and the textual apparatuses of both language bibles. Some textual criticism will be explored. The student will also learn the alphabets and pronunciation of both the biblical languages, develop some vocalization and grammar skills in reading the biblical text, and learn a basic vocabulary. Lastly, the student will be provided with an introduction to biblical language research tools to aid in bible study.
Prerequisite(s): BIBL 100 .
