LEAD 543 - Leadership and Management Theory (3) An examination of the basic functions of management: planning, organizing, influencing, and controlling. The course provides the learner with the opportunity to explore the body of knowledge and literature that deals with elements of leadership practice. It will help the learner understand what it is that leaders do, how leadership differs from management, and will increase the learner’s ability to reflect and compare styles and methods for unique organizations. This course is open only to students pursuing the Combined Degree Program (MMP and MAOL).
