EDUC 503 - Foundations of Social and Cultural Diversity (3) This course will address fundamental questions about the meaning, purpose and significance of education and participation in a diverse culture and society. Issues and trends related to individual differences and diverse cultures and communities will be explored and analyzed. Topics covered will integrate Christian faith and the role of advocacy with ethical decision making and respect for cultural diversity in a just and moral society. Includes 20 hours of volunteer-related experience approved by the course instructor. For Education students the course is taken within the first eighteen hours of an approved graduate degree program.
