HIST 436 - Early Modern and Modern Europe (w) (3) A survey of the history of Europe from the Renaissance to the present. Political, social, and intellectual developments are examined. Particular attention is paid to the Renaissance, Reformation, and Enlightenment; the French Revolution and Napoleonic Age; the rise of industrialization and nationalism; and the major events of the twentieth century, including the two world wars, the Holocaust, the Cold War, and the fall of communism in Europe.
Prerequisite(s): HIST 111 or 112.
Offered Spring 2020 and alternate Spring semesters.
