ART 261 - Introduction to Photography(3) A general history of the development of the camera. Students will learn darkroom procedures through photograms, construct a pinhole camera, develop negative and positive prints, and develop black and white prints using a 35mm manual camera. Composition, film, camera controls, and flash will be covered. Experimental techniques will be introduced. Selected projects will be dry mounted.Text required plus materials fee and basic tool kit (a 35mm manual camera is required or an automatic 35mm with manual mode).
Offered each semester.Enrollment priority given to art, visual arts education, and communication arts majors.
