COUN 634 - Marriage and Family Counseling(3) This course is an overview of contemporary theories and practices in family and couples therapy including psychodynamic, experiential, systems, structural, communications, and cognitive-behavioral approaches. The origins of the family are explored as well as the family as a psychosocial system. New directions in family and couples counseling are examined as well as research, training, and professional issues related to the field. Prerequisite(s): COUN 564. Fall II.
