Campus Safety
Campus Safety assists in the safety of all students, staff and faculty at Malone and in the protection of both personal and University property. All officers receive training from GardaWorld Security Services and on-site instruction, and are here to help as well as protect. The full cooperation of every student is required whenever approached by a safety officer. Safety can be reached 24/7, 365 days a year, at x8111 from on campus or 330.471.8111 from off campus.
Driving and parking on the Malone campus are privileges given to all students, as long as the student parking regulations are honored. All student vehicles must be registered on Malone Xpress. Any student or family that plans to have more than one vehicle on campus at the same time must register each vehicle.
All students are advised to download the free smart phone app, Campus Shield Safety App. Adding it to a cell phone and properly registering results in the phone number being automatically entered into the Emergency Alert texting system. Campus Shield also offers other safety benefits that students may find useful, especially while on campus. Non-smart phone users can still submit phone numbers to the emergency alert notification system.

Career Development and Counseling Services
Our mission is to assist students as they begin to discover God’s plan for their career/vocational goals. We seek to prepare students for making informed choices about the alignment of their skills and interests with chosen fields of study. Students can explore career options and gaining direction by using Malone.MyPlan.com. This free resource helps students assess personality preferences, skills, interests, and work values. Students can research hundreds of occupations and academic programs to determine their best fit. The system will also help students determine which careers match with their major areas of study. We are happy to meet with students needing assistance to interpret the test results. Students uncertain of their career paths can receive free career counseling by trained counselors by appointment.
College Central Network is a web-based job posting and résumé referral system that connects students with employers in the Northeast Ohio area and nationwide. Features include a national online job/internship posting board, résumé template with a variety of styles from which to choose, career-related announcements of on- and off-campus events, document library, and career advice videos. More information is available at vocation@malone.edu.
Student Accessibility Services
Support Services are provided by the CSS to empower students with qualifying disabilities to maximize their educational and academic potential. Students seeking those services must provide documentation of their specific disabilities (physical, learning, or psychological). Based on the received documentation, academic accommodations, housing accommodations, adaptive technology, and social support can be provided. Students with disabilities should call the office for individual pre-enrollment appointments if they choose to self-disclose disabilities and plan to request accommodations. We will work with each individual student to determine appropriate accommodations. All students with disabilities are responsible to request the renewal of the accommodations prior to the start of each semester for as many of their classes as they so choose.
