The Pendle Hill Pledge

Malone University pledges to empower students to enter their careers and lives with meaning and purpose to serve the church, community, and world, by
- providing opportunities for Pendle Hill moments when students seek God’s calling and vocational purposes through guided self-reflection in General Education, programs of study, and co-curricular activities;
- providing one-on-one guidance along the Pendle Hill path by ensuring that all students receive advising and mentoring to prepare them to discover their callings and careers;
- providing experiential learning along the Pendle Hill path by requiring one of the following experiences for all traditional undergraduate students: (a) an internship or practicum, (b) a substantive research project, (c) an off-campus study program, or (d) a course that requires significant service learning; and
- providing career preparation along the Pendle Hill path by embedding relevant activities (e.g., resume and cover-letter writing, etiquette, interviewing techniques, search strategies) in students’ programs of study.
