Campus Safety
Campus Safety assists in the safety of all persons at Malone and the protection of both personal and University property. All officers are professionally trained to perform their duties and are here to help as well as to protect. The full cooperation of every student is required whenever confronted by a safety officer.
The campus buildings are closed and locked when not in use. Entrance to a locked building is permitted only with the written permission of the staff member responsible for that area. Any student violating campus regulations or refusing to cooperate with a safety officer is subject to discipline up to and including suspension or expulsion from the University.
Campus Safety can be easily reached if help is needed in an emergency situation. From off campus, call 330.471.8111; from on campus call extension 8111. These numbers will be answered twenty-four hours a day. The Safety Department is here to help when needed. For more information, please refer to the “Home Malone, A Guide to Campus Safety” brochure.
Career Development Center
Training and equipping for successful preparation - connection - transition from university student to professional
In conjunction with the mission of Malone University, the Career Development Center strives to assist students with discovering, developing, and achieving their God-directed career goals. We use the terms “career” and “vocation” interchangeably with the understanding that God equips His people and calls them to all types of work fields because all work is sacred. We offer advice from a Christ-centered perspective, making practical applications of scriptural principles.
Career Planning and Exploration
Students can begin exploring career options and gaining direction by using www.malone.myplan.com. This online system is available to all Malone University students at no additional fee. MyPlan is designed to help students assess their personality types, skills, interests, and work values as they relate to the workplace. Students can research hundreds of occupations and academic programs to determine their best fit. The system will also help students determine which careers match with their major areas of study. In addition, a career counselor can meet with each student to assist with interpreting the results.
Job Search
Malone University students and alumni can register and have access to College Central Network, (www.collegecentral.com/malone) a national job search database which allows students to do the following:
- Search exclusive job listings and set up a job agent.
- Create or upload an online resume with the resume builder.
- Build, update, and forward an online career portfolio to employers.
- Read career-related announcements.
- Check out and register to attend the latest career events.
- Download Malone’s free career advice documents and podcasts.
- Learn expert job search tips from over 100 free career videos.
