The Computer Science Education Endorsement (CSE) is a response to a new emphasis within the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) regarding computer science education. This graduate-level program of study is designed to prepare teachers to meet the Ohio state standards for computer science curriculum in K-12 schools.

The focus of the endorsement is computer science which will include programming, computer language, and algorithms for educators in the K-12 classroom. All participants seeking the CSE from Malone University will be required to complete 50 practicum hours. The Computer Science Endorsement may be added to any existing standard Ohio teaching license after completing the required coursework, practicum hours, and OAE licensure examination.
