This program leads to the Bachelor of Science in Education degree and the Ohio License in Intervention Specialist: Mild/Moderate Educational Needs (K-12) valid for teaching learners who have mild or moderate educational needs.
The major consists of course requirements in professional education (35 hrs.) and the intervention specialist core (33 hrs.) as follows:
The following are also required in the program:
Those students pursuing a Primary Childhood Education (PCE) License with added Intervention Specialist K-12 License complete the Professional Education Course Requirements (EDUC 112, 122, 232, 267, 271, 326, 417, 464, 492); the PCE Core (EDUC 215, 245, 252, 325, 435, 438, 444, 446; SPED 293, 425, 462); and SPED 253, 376, and 405.
