The minor includes the following (15 hours minimum):

• EXSC 210 - First Aid and Safety
• PE 231 - Initiative Games
• PE 380 - Theory and Practice of Coaching
• PE 410 - Psychology of Coaching
• SMGT 301 - Application of Sport Management
• SMGT 453 - Governance in Sport

Additional Information

In addition, the student must have collegiate varsity experience or community coaching experience. The latter requirement must be approved by the Education Department faculty. The coaching minor does not lead to an endorsement by the Ohio Department of Education.
