Urban Studies (secondary major)

The Urban Studies major is a secondary major which prepares students to serve within urban contexts, such as community and economic development, community organizing, urban ministry, non-profit organizations, and within city government. This service focused program combines knowledge, values, and skills, along with experiential learning that emphasizes justice, civic responsibility, peace, and reconciliation. Students must choose a concentration from within their primary major which allows them to couple urban studies with another passion, such as business, criminal and restorative justice, history, human services, ministry, political science, social work, or any other major at Malone.
