Instructional Technology

The Instructional Technology core is designed for those who desire to enhance current knowledge and practice regarding the integration of computers and related technology in educational settings. The
core emphasizes the intentional use of technology in teaching and learning and the tools of instructional technology including productivity, information access, networking, and media/hypermedia. Social, ethical, and human issues related to computing and technology are also addressed.

The degree program consists of a 15-semester-hour Foundation area and a Core in Instructional Technology of 21 hours. Candidates who complete the program may add the Ohio endorsement of Computer/Technology. Non-degree students may elect to complete the minimum number of semester hours required for theComputer/Technology endorsement. All individuals entering the instructional technology program must demonstrate through skills assessment basic computer productivity software skills. Individuals who are able to document Ohio SchoolNet Novice Level certification may be excused from this entry requirement.
