Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy

The certificate in vocal pedagogy is a 25-hour course of study designed to instruct the vocalist in the art of studio teaching. The certificate is available to both music majors and non-music majors. An audition/conference is required before acceptance into the program.

The certificate program consists of the following:
8 hours of applied music at the 200 level or above
A 30-45 minute lecture recital
A year of teaching a minimum of two students per term in the Malone Piano/Voice Preparatory Program
