COUN 644 - Trauma Counseling Core Competencies (3)
This course is designed for students to learn to apply core competencies to their work with individuals who have experienced trauma. Within this course, students will acquire knowledge about trauma and the process of working within the framework of core competencies in the areas of human development and lifespan stages, multiculturalism and social justice, and spirituality and religion. Students will also gain knowledge about trauma and its impact on specific populations (e.g., children, adolescents, military veterans, etc.). Prerequisite(s): COUN 643.
