URBN 441 - Urban Leadership Capstone II (3)
Building upon the learning from Urban Leadership Capstone I, students will continue to be engaged, equipped, and encouraged through Christian Community Development principles as they develop as leaders with relevant knowledge, values, and skills to be prepared to serve in urban environments within neighborhoods, the marketplace, and at the margins of society. Through active learning, training, networking, and leadership support groups, the course will encourage all participants by connecting them to a larger community of practice, resources, coaching, consultation, and accountability. Students will complete a capstone project in which they will apply learned community development principles within their chosen community of practice to assess and address assets, concerns, issues, opportunities, and capacities of the neighborhoods, marketplace, and margins of their city.
Prerequisite(s): URBN 440.
