EDTL 507 - Foundations of Instruction for English Language Learners (3)
This course provides students with a holistic understanding of the theories, historical trends, current research, and policy in ESL instruction. First and second language acquisition, the role of culture and cultural identity in language learning, and the impact of political forces are addressed. In addition, students will identify how their personal attitudes and beliefs impact their interaction with students. Offered Fall I.
