NURS 442 - Professional Nursing: Leading and Managing II

This course is a continuation of Professional Nursing: Leading and Managing I and focuses on senior capstone experiences that ensures that students engage in critical thinking about the philosophical and ethical assumptions of the Christian vocation of nursing to synthesize theoretical knowledge, clinical skills, and professional role behaviors in an experiential practicum setting. A variety of current professional issues are examined with emphasis on preparing for the transition to professional practice, engaging in continued professional development, promoting excellence in nursing practice, and complying with legal and ethical guidelines in collaboration with nurse preceptors. Includes theory and clinical experiences.
