NURS 214 - Foundations in Nursing Practice II: Clinical

This course is a continuation of Foundations in Nursing Practice I: Clinical and is focused on applying core competencies and knowledge to promote safe clinical decision-making with patients needing low and intermediate acuity care. Emphasis is placed on integrating evidence-based practice, informatics, communication strategies and health promotion into nursing practice in order to demonstrate safe and quality care provision. Critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills consistent with biblical principles will be utilized to manage information and provide culturally appropriate care. Students will demonstrate competency in technical skills  and the professional nursing role within the laboratory, simulation and clinical setting. Course fee. Concurrent with NURS 212.
