NURS 112 - Introduction to Professional Nursing

This course is designed to introduce students to basic concepts of professional nursing with a Christian perspective of the world. Emphasis placed on the connections and relationships between person, health, environment, and nursing. It introduces students to nursing philosophies, theories, and frameworks by which to understand holistic patient centered nursing care. Will provide a brief exploration of the history of nursing with a focus on its Christian roots and introduce the various roles held by professional nurses within the American health care system. 

Prerequisite(s): BIOL131 or BIOL132.
