ENG 435 - Creative Writing Workshop

This advanced workshop provides students with the opportunity to develop and refine works of fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, and other genres, alongside discussion and analysis of the craft of contemporary literature. The course also explores professional and avocational issues such as publishing, graduate school, and writing after college. Creative Writing majors who are nearing graduation must take this course to fulfill the capstone portfolio requirement for the major and present their work in a public reading. Repeatable to 8 hours.

Prerequisite(s): ENG 231 and either ENG 311, 331 or 332.
