EDUC 492 - Student Teaching

For those seeking teacher licensure, this course is a full-time clinical experience providing opportunities to observe, plan, conduct, and evaluate instruction in a school setting and receive professional feedback from university supervisors and experienced cooperating teachers in the appropriate licensure area for a minimum of 12 weeks. Attendance at additional duties associated with the teaching role is expected (i.e., parent-teacher conferences, professional meetings, etc.). Those registering for student teaching must also register for EDUC 464 - Student Teaching Seminar . Application for student teaching should be made in November preceding the academic year in which student teaching is to be completed.

Prerequisite(s): Acceptance as a candidate for clinical experience and satisfactory completion of all professional education course work. Co-requisite(s): EDUC 464.
