(4)Course content includes study of structure and importance of water to biological systems; bioenergetics; pH, physiological buffers; acid-base balance, structure, and functions of molecules of life (carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids); enzyme kinetics; and signal transduction. Includes one 3-hour lab per week.
Prerequisite(s): CHEM 132.
