(3)Computer image manipulation of vector and raster images. Includes problem-solving techniques specifically for photo editing (retouching and manipulation), illustration, production-ready file set-up, and interactive design. Students will engage in creative, intelligent, purposeful, and appropriate visual decisions in design. Computer-Assisted Design also serves as an introduction of the elements and principles involved in perception as it pertains to graphic design. Students will use Macintosh computers, focusing on the use of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign. This is the first step toward taking the ACE (Adobe Certified Expert) certification exam. Required for all Graphic Design/Digital Arts majors.
